The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 5 out of 10 examinees have successfully passed the Licensure Examinations for Marine Deck Officers given by the Board for Marine Deck Officers in July 2002 Practical Phase and the Written Phase in November 2006.

The members of the Board for Marine Deck Officers who gave the licensure examinations are Capt. Constantino L. Arcellana Jr., Chairman; Capt. Jaime D. Aquino, Capt. Benjamin M. Katipunan Jr., Capt. Mike L. Castro and Capt. Ireneo U. Delos Santos, Members.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 until January 4, 2006. Those  who will register are required to bring the following: latest Community Tax Certificate; 3 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background) with appropriate shoulder boards, and 1 piece 1” x 1” picture, metered documentary stamps worth P45, and 1 long clear envelope; and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P750 for 2006-2011.

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

Successful examinees who passed both theory and practical examinations will take their oath before the Board on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at 1:00 o’ clock in the afternoon at the Fiesta Pavilion, Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Manila.

Registration for membership with the Masters and Mates Association of the Philippines (MMAP) will start tomorrow, November 22, 2006.
